This product is to be used only as prescribed by Dr. Bonds. This
is a hydrogen peroxide dental whitening gel that is specially formulated
to quickly and gently remove stains and discoloration from natural
teeth.
While results may vary, most patients obtain significant whitening
in two to three weeks. Crowns, bonding and tooth colored restorations
will not whiten and may require additional treatment. Whitened teeth
are usually stable for three to five years. However, food, beverage,
and tobacco usage will cause gradual restraining and may require
a maintenance program such as the use of whitening toothpaste or
occasional touch-up whitening. For best results, please carefully
follow Dr. Bond's instructions.
If you have any questions or symptoms of discomfort please do not
hesitate to call our office. During the first few days of treatment
you may experience some sensitivity to hot and cold and or sore
gums. This should be temporary, if it persists please call Dr. Bonds.
He may need to decrease your wear time or adjust the tray to resolve
these problems. You may also take ibuprofen to help reduce the discomfort.
There is no evidence that this system will adversely affect pregnancy,
but Dr. Bonds suggests this should not be used during pregnancy.
